INSTALLING A LEAF FILTER ON MY DOWNSPOUT 🍂🛠💪

My home has a unique situation of retaining walls on the left and right. And the back of the lot sits higher than the home. Basically, a water management nightmare if you live in Portland, Oregon. I've used rain gardens, french drains, and rain barrels to manage the water until I finally faced the truth and acknowledged that the lot needs significant re-grading and re-working to have functioning disconnected downspouts. In the meantime, I received BES permission to reconnect two of my downspouts to my rain drains. Then I remembered how much debris got caught in my rain barrel and realized I forgot to have my gutter contractors install a downspout filter. After reviewing the shockingly few options online, I asked my gutter contractor what they suggested, and they made me these downspout filters.
